Integrated Synthesizer and Modulator
The RFMD2080 and RFMD2081 are extremely broadband devices capable of transmitting from 45MHz to 2700MHz and are suitable for satellite, wireless point-to-point systems, software defined radio, digital repeaters, and other QPSK/QAM modulator applications. The integration of the local oscillator using an advanced fractional-N synthesizer, along with the broadband nature of the components, offers the industry’s most competitive combination of functionality, performance, versatility, and size.
The RFMD2081 has a baseband bandwidth of up to 100MHz. The RFMD2080 includes a baseband interface incorporating programmable filtering and gain control, with bandwidth programmable from 1.5MHz to 10MHz.

Product Details
The DKMD208x design kits have been developed to enable an in-depth evaluation
with minimum effort. All design kits consist of an evaluation board with a plug-in
USB serial adapter, a USB cable, and a 5 piece sample bag. The programming tool software
can be downloaded from the RFMD website using the links on the right. The software
has been designed for 32-bit and 64-bit PCs running Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and 7.
